This item is a reward from the quest N [70] World of Shadows and the repeatable version N [70] More Shadow Dust.
As a quest objective
This item is necessary to complete a number of quests for the Sha'tari Skyguard in Skettis.
- N [70] Secrets of the Talonpriests requires you to kill several Time-Lost Talonpriests.
- N [70] Adversarial Blood requires you to collect Time-Lost Scrolls, which only drop from the Time-Lost Arakkoa.
Walkthrough
- Collect 6 pieces of dust which drops from random mobs in Skettis.
- Turn that in for 1 Elixir of Shadows.
- Drink the Elixir and you can now see ghosts in Skettis.
- Kill the ghosts who have a chance to drop Time-Lost Scroll
- Gather 40 scrolls or more.
- Place 10 scrolls at each bone pile in Skettis to summon the 4 required mobs. (3 man quest)
- Loot the quest fragment from each mob.
- If you are in a group, have the DPS drink the Elixir and the healers *dont* drink it. They will be able to loot the ghosts, but will not be attacked by them.
- A reasonably geared level 80 can do this easily, but you should quickly kill as many ghosts as you can. Being able to quickly go through more mobs solo can translate into looting nearly 20 Time-Lost Scrolls in the 20 minute timeframe.
