Historically, the goblins did not involve themselves with aquatic vehicles, but necessity and some urging from their Horde counterparts have lead the them to try their hand at making submersible vehicles. An example of a possible early experiment appears in Venture Bay, Northrend, but a full fledged success can be seen traveling from ships in the Shimmering Expanse to the Tenebrous Cavern.
In Wrath of the Lich King[]
A submarine of goblin design[citation needed] is a vessel at Venture Bay that resembles the X-52 Nether-Rocket, but lying on its side, with a periscope on top and some rockets on the back. It may belong to Bubb Lazarr, as he is the only NPC near it and space-themed.
In Cataclysm[]
There will be two brand new submarines in Cataclysm, which will be used as transports. There will be one for gnomes and one for goblins. Both are about the size of the Gunships from Icecrown.[1]
