Thandol was the location of a network of newly formed ice bridges which blocked the Horde warships. The Horde launched an attack against a few Alliance sites within the network of ice. They captured a site and built up their forces, allowing them route the towns of Hillsbrad and Tarren Mill in Lordaeron.

This is the third and final mission of the Orc Campaign in the game demo of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.

BriefingEdit

The Horde is preparing to launch a massive assault the mainland of Lordaeron. Alliance forces guard two strategic sites within a network of newly formed ice bridges that create a barrier our warships cannot pass.

In order to launch an attack against these Alliance towns you must claim one of these strategic sites and build up your forces.

Once your armies are in place, proceed to destroy all the defenders of Lordaeron.

ObjectivesEdit

  • Destroy the Human base at Lordaeron

SpeculationEdit

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

As the name suggests Thandol is located somewhere near or within Thandol Valley, and Thandol Span. Alternatively, it may represent an early production name (beta information) for the Thandol Valley or the Thandol Span bridges established in the retail release of Warcraft II. If the latter is the case, then it would mean the area was renamed before the retail version of the game was released.
